Considering the risk of corona infection, the 'Our Village, Good Village' essay writing competition was organized by the Tourism Promotion Forum, Nepal with the objective of encouraging people to write essays about their village while staying at home during the lockdown issued by the government.

According to Lila Ram Khadka, coordinator of the forum, the expert team has selected the best essays from 67 essays received from all over the country.

The winners will be awarded Rs 7,000 each and a certificate. The prize money will be sent to them immediately through the financial institution and the certificate will be given after the lockdown opens, the forum said.

The forum had called for sending an essay of up to 1,000 words including the natural, cultural, historical, religious and social aspects of the village via email by June 12.

The stage has been raised by the competition. ‘There are many places with tourist potential in our mountains, hills and lowlands. That is why we have competed to bring the hidden destinations into the spotlight, ”said Khadka, the forum's coordinator." We will continue to do the same in the coming days. "

Manch is an organization of young tourism workers. It has stated that it will launch 'Let's go to Dolakha' campaign after the strike to promote domestic tourism.
