Western Union, a leader in cross-border, cross-currency money movement and
payments, has announced the Bumper Lucky Draw winner of its consumer promotion
in Nepal. Mahendra Kumar Lama was announced as the draw winner on February 5,
winning NPR 10 Lakhs.
The promotion
was launched in September, during the festival season of Dashain, Tihar and

(excluding the weekly winning transactions) were automatically entered in the

To qualify for
the promotion, customers in Nepal were required to receive money through
Western Union at select Agent locations: Annapurna Travel, CG Finco, Hulas
Remittance, Maya Remit, Nabil Bank, Surya Remit and Digitek Remittance.
“I would like to
congratulate all the winners of this consumer promotion. I am thankful to all
the customers who place their trust in Western Union to move their hard-earned
money to their families in Nepal. This trust continually pushes us and our
Agents to provide solutions catering to different customer needs,” said S S
